A chilled weekend

I am sure we’ve all been reminded of issues, issues that have happened in the past that we thought we’d left behind.

My life tends to go in fits and spurts, but I’ve spent a large chunk of my life dealing with issues that have been resurrected by other people that always had the potential to cause new stress, which invariably it did.

Now on the back of a roller coaster week, this weekend I’ve decided I’m not emotionally going there and I’m just going to chill. It’s been long overdue, but I’m feeling confident and I think it can work.

  1. Chill time is very important Ilana. Every so often I need my inner peace fix, my chill time. Make it work!

    Have a peaceful weekend.

  2. Yes, I can so understand as I told my girlfriend that we’re taking a break this weekend after dealing with her car breaking down!

It’s just ridiculous when she’s doing so much for others, but they’re not exactly helping with things like car repairs! I just see her wearing herself out too often, which isn’t good with all the medical issues she’s having to deal with right now.

I don’t mind helping people who are willing to at least try to help themselves when they can. It’s a long weekend here in the US so I think it’s only fair that we take an “us” weekend to enjoy better things like spending time with her granddaughter!

    1. You’d suspect right. Given my reality and my experiences, a chilled weekend is something I aimed for, but never really achieved. The older we get though, the more we understand it’s importance.

As soon as we change our circumstances for the better, we can afford that time to ourselves.
