Why things happen

Things happen in our lives for a reason. No matter what the situation, I think there is always a reason as to why. I believe there is always something of value that comes out of every situation, as long as we look for the understanding. We will always have valuable lessons to learn; that’s life.

Sometimes wonderful opportunities come out of difficult situations and those opportunities show us why things happen a certain way. When I can equate and understand why things happen in my life, I have more opportunities to change my perceptions and then attitude. It’s also usually at that point that I’m ready to sort things out so that I can move on with my life.

Knowing the reason why something happens saves us from feeling we’re to blame. Even if something happens and we’re in the wrong place at the wrong time, we’re still supposed to be there. There will always be a reason, even if the reason wasn’t what we were expecting, or isn’t the outcome we want or one that we understand.

I believe that if someone hurts us, the universal law will always be in place to help us. I also believe we’re all accountable for our actions; no one is free of the karmic debt. I have held on to those beliefs for as long as I can remember, but the assault re-enforced my beliefs.

As I begin to question the bigger picture on some of my issues, I find myself having to go back to find the understanding, in the hope that I’ll get to bring closure. The CP Diary is a culmination of all of that.

When something bad happens, it doesn’t stop me from believing there is a lesson to learn, a reason why.  It’s part of my belief system now regardless of the scenario, good or bad.

  1. I agree with you. I believe that you get what you give and there is always a reason for things happening the way they do, whether good or bad.

  2. I’ve had a lot of bad things happen in my life and I have definitely learned a lot of lessons from them.

I’m the type that usually has to learn the hard way, which has been one of my biggest problems. I’ve been having to deal with questioning my faith as of late, since I wonder what my purpose of being here alive now is really for.

My girlfriend always talks about karma, so I’m hoping that a lot of the good things I’ve done lately will bring some good for us.

    1. I believe in karma too and believe that if you put good things out there, you will get good things back. I think we learn from both good and bad experiences in our lives.

I also believe we have a purpose and sometimes we’re aware of what that purpose is and sometimes we’re not.

Whatever the bigger picture, I know one day you’ll find your purpose. Given what you’ve dealt with in the past, perhaps the key is already there!
