Growing up, it was my mum who had an interest in health and health products. I’m not sure why, but I remember it being like that. My interest grew from there. She was adamant that was the path we needed to go down.
We need vitamins to balance our hormones so that our immune system will work better, so that our body will produce the energy it needs for us to be able to live without us struggling, help protect our cells and keep our skin healthy.
Vitamins also support the Nervous System, the brain and protect our cells from oxidation. Vitamins have different functions, for example, Vitamins B and C help turn food into energy. Vitamins A C & E help slow down the ageing process. They also help prevent Heart Disease, Cancer and pollution.
Vitamin D helps with the absorption of calcium, helps strengthen immunity and protects us from a cold and Cancer. It also helps us maintain healthy bones and teeth. Vitamin E protects us from free radicals that can cause Cancer. Helps cells to work together and may protect against Alzheimer’s disease and Prostrate Cancer. Vitamin E also protects the skin from UVB rays.
In summary, vitamins and minerals are an essential tool, protecting us from different diseases, whilst helping with the ageing process. Research has shown that even those of us who eat good diets, we will still fail to consume the nutrients we need, because of our fast lives, refined foods and intensive farming, which by today’s standards is less than nutritious.
Eat organic because it’s more nutritious, but if you’re not able to do that, use a vegetable wash to wash the pesticides away is still beneficial, as is taking a Vitamin and Mineral Supplement.
