Something inspirational:

“Get the inside right. The outside will fall into place.”

This little quote says it all. Our wellbeing starts inside of us, emotionally and then physically.

You’re absolutely right, but perhaps if more of us understood, we’d learn to do things differently.

Exactly. We need spiritual and mental contentment. If we have those we will have a better understanding of our physical health.

Thanks Lisa. Welcome back to the site. You’re absolutely right, without spiritual and mental contentment we will have better understanding of our physical health.

Without them, we may struggle physically.

Indeed, no conflict on the inside will elicit comfort on the outside.

It’s one of the benefits of mindfulness, which is the core purpose of this site.

Thanks Tim. I absolutely love the analogy you’ve used in your first paragraph.

I would just add that mindfulness is something we constantly have to work at. Depending on our stress levels and what’s going on around it, it’s easy for it to dip every now and again.

This quote is so true. So much of what’s on our mind can affect our health. I’m working on settling my mind so my nerves don’t mess up my treatments.

Thanks Maria. I agree with you, our mind can be the catalyst for ill health. This is something I constantly have to work on, given my neurological impairments, but it’s probably something we all have to work on too.

I’m not sure given today’s economic, social climate and uncertainties, I am not sure any of us are free from the odd bad thought.
