Appreciate everything

Something inspirational:

“The worst person to be around is someone who complains about everything and appreciates nothing.”

  1. Great saying. In an ideal world it would be nice to surround ourselves with people who complain about nothing and appreciate everything.

I guess this quote simply makes us think about what we should complain about and what we should appreciate.

    1. I believe this is something we should all try to accomplish in our lifetime. Not complaining and learning to appreciate what we have, lends itself to a better life, easier communication and allows us to be better equipped to deal with what life throws at us.

Although I was angry about my situation as a child and struggled emotionally and physically, I didn’t complain and always appreciated what my parents did for me. Looking back of course, we see life differently as the adult, but it helps to live our lives positively in this way.

  2. The more I appreciate the smaller things in life, the less I care about things that formally aggravated me. But people shouldn’t suffer in silence. The world has rightfully changed because of complaints and grievances.

I guess some complaints can be an annoyance, especially to someone who doesn’t appreciate someone else’s concern.

    1. Thank Tim. Yes the world shouldn’t suffer in silence and although we still live in a democracy, we’re living in completely different times. When we speak out, we do so at our own risk and it is for that reason that many of us will choose to stay silent.

I have always cared about the little and big things simultaneously, but it’s usually the bigger things that aggravate me more, particularly if I struggle to find a resolve.

Our nature and the way we handle ourselves has very much to do with what we let go of and what we feel we must follow through.

At the end of the day, we have to find what works for us and stick with the winning formula.
