Spiritual connections

The spiritual, emotional and mental strength of a relationship are our most intimate and the strongest.

The ancient teachings of Buddhism suggest that we can transform our relationships into spiritual partnerships and I believe that needs to happen if we are to get the best out of our relationships. Soulful connections make people kinder, more compassionate and wiser, help change the way we function individually, changes the way we see ourselves, our partners and our lives.

A spiritual connection is when two souls are attracted and are in sync with each other. Those relationships become stronger. Two people with a spiritual connection are not just aligned, they bond emotionally and spiritually through soulful connections.

The word spiritual for some sounds scary, but it’s not as scary as it sounds. In fact, it can be the opposite. A spiritual partner is an ally for personal growth when both partners decide they want to work together, to be the best that they can be. There is no reason why anyone can’t achieve a spiritual connection.

Those relationships are the most enduring and often stand the test of time. They are our most soulful connections.

  1. I enjoyed reading this post and learned a lot from it. This is what’s so great about your site. Thanks for posting it.

Also, I guess this is where the phrase ‘soul-mate’ originates from. It sounds a huge strong connection and wonder how many of us manage that? Is it inherent or is it something we can work towards?

    1. Thanks, I’m pleased that you have learned a lot from this blog.

I believe more of us should learn how to connect better with our families and spouses and believe it can be inherent and we can also learn and embrace a more peaceful lifestyle and learn how to do things better, through spiritual teachings.

The quality of our life will always depend on the inner development of peace and happiness. Being kind, empathetic and compassionate is something we should all want to strive for. Life sometimes gets in the way, but I don’t see that as an excuse for bad behaviour.

We should want to spiritually and emotionally connect with those close to us and and want to be and give of our best. It’s really not that difficult. It’s a lifestyle choice.

I believe though, the world would be a better place to live in, if we all took this stance.

  2. A good spiritual connection with someone, is like making a new family and feeding your soul a healthy diet. It’s a sensation of being in this world but not completely of it with another soul.

    1. I love your analogy and agree. Thanks Tim. Perhaps we should at least try to embrace the whole spiritual connection thing.

We’d change our life in heart beat. It does change our lives, but it’s more helpful if we’re all doing it together. It’s more of a struggle for those of us who are, when others around us aren’t.

  3. To me, this explains perfectly why when we meet with another person, there’s an immediate connection vs some people that don’t. It’s for sure a spiritual connection.

    1. Yes, thanks Bonnie. Absolutely right. It’s as though we’ve known that person forever. As you correctly say, not everyone will have or feel that connection.

I think the more spiritual we are (and this has nothing to do with religion) the more connected we will be.
