Challenge your motivation

We’ve probably all had days where we’re less than motivated. Perhaps on those less than motivational days, we should challenge our less than positive behaviour.

These tips work for me:

  • If something is too difficult or we’re doing something that is out of our depth, it’s very easy to lose motivation. We must be clear as much as we can on what we’re about to embark on, so that we understand the challenge ahead. When we’re confident we’re more likely to achieve our goal;

Life’s journey

I believe that any great journey starts with one small step. As a child, I wasn’t aware life was a journey at all. I never stopped to question my life, or why I had physical difficulties, or what that bigger picture was. All I knew was that it was something I had that my siblings didn’t.

When anyone takes a first step, it’s a big achievement. Progress happens, then we begin the little steps, but to do that we must be aware of things. So many opportunities are missed because we …

Our intuitive guide

I’m not sure as a child I understood what intuition was, but now I use it as my guide. As a child, with my intuition as a guide, I would have had the chance to focus, without continually looking back on missed opportunities and non-achievements, negatively.

It is our intuition that keeps our lives centred, so that we become more understanding of why our lives turn out the way they do. When we understand why something happens, we can walk away …

My focus

The CP Diary blogs are my focus. They give me clarity. They help me to work through and understand my life so that I am able to stay focused. They help me remain calm in my not so calm world.

I find it helpful when I can read and refer back to what I write. The contents of my blogs help me to perceive my life …

Uniqueness and change

Something inspirational:

“A tulip doesn’t strive to impress anyone. It doesn’t struggle to be different than a rose. It doesn’t have to. It is different. And there’s room in the garden for every flower. You didn’t have to struggle to make your face different than anyone else’s on earth. It just is. You are unique because you were created that way. Look at little children in kindergarten. They’re all different without trying to be. As long as they’re unselfconsciously being themselves, they can’t help but shine. It’s only later, when children are taught to compete, to strive to be better than others, that their natural light becomes distorted.”

Discretion & straight talking

Telling people what they want to hear, rather than what they need to hear. Not the best move. Telling someone what they want to hear isn’t the same thing and shouldn’t be confused with telling them what they need to hear.

For some it may not only make our situation worse, but for others it may interfere with their relationship too. Although someone may be disappointed by what you’re telling them, others may be …

A quiet mind

As a child when something was too hard for me, I reverted inside myself, although night terrors made that more difficult. In a way reverting into myself, saved with the frustrations as I had a lot of quiet time.

Over the years, like a light switch I continue to shut my mind off. Initially, I would write my thoughts down so that they were on paper and not a permanent fixture in my mind. I have learned that …
