A little girl’s dream

30 May

When I was a little girl, I used to imagine happily ever after scenarios, but as I began to grow up, I slowly came to realise that’s not how life really is, well not my life anyway. In our real lives we constantly have to work at things, sort issues out and even then we may not get the happily ever scenario.

Years on and looking at my life and given what I have to deal with physically, I’m definitely not looking at a happily ever after scenario, but in my usual optimistic way I shall continue to work on things …

Things to change

23 May

We will always fail to please others when we fail to please ourselves; we will always fail to trust others when we fail to trust ourselves; we will always fail to be honest with others when we’re not honest with ourselves. We will always fail to communicate with others when we fail to learn to communicate with ourselves.

In order to change things we must get to know ourselves, find out what makes us who we are. Find out what we like and what we dislike; find out what makes us happy and what makes us sad …

Bone health

22 May

Bone health is something we’re all aware of, but probably not something we all practice. Bone health is important at any age. We need strong bones to help us through adolescence and then to help us as we age.

Below are some of the nutrients that can help with bone health:

A number of recent studies suggest that a diet lacking in protein accelerate bone loss. Unfortunately, however, excessive …
