The Homeopathic Remedy Apis

Apis Melifica, also known as Apis is derived from the honey bee and is mainly used to treat patients suffering from:

  • Stings
  • Rashes
  • Allergic reactions to insect bites

It is particularly good for those people who have been left with a swelling caused by an insect bite, bee sting, hives, or possibly from another irritant.

Additional uses of Apis

Apis also helps those people who suffer with problems to their eyes, throat and urinary tract. It is good for the hay fever sufferer, or those who are fighting a cold with symptoms of a sore throat that seems swollen, to a burning fever without the need to drink.

It is also a good remedy for those suffering with cystitis, particularly when the last few drops of urine begin to smart and sting and the patient has to wait to pass water as and when the pain finally dissipates.

Seek professional help

As with all homeopathic remedies it is advisable to seek advice from a qualified Registered Homeopath to make sure that the remedies used fit the symptoms fully.

  1. Yeah, honey bees are declining so why don’t we just kill the rest of them to treat insect bites, when creams or antihistamines work fine.

    This is pure wrong.

    1. Hi Jen and welcome to the site. When homeopathy centuries ago was introduced not a lot was known about the need to nurture our planet and the importance of honeybees to our ecosystem.

I agree with you that it’s wrong that bees have to be killed to make remedies. I hope a more lightened attitude will prevail.
