Bad times

I usually don’t run away from bad times, bad weeks, or live in denial when those bad times happen. I usually try to find a level of understanding and an acceptance.

I also know that as the bad times come, in time they will move on and I will move on with them. I am hoping for a better week this week. I still feel in myself I could be doing better and could be feeling better about things.

I am sure we all get to feel a bit like that sometimes, not quite on top form, but doing the best that we can. I’m happy with that.

  1. We all go through ‘bad times’ and we have all had our (un)fair share of that.

No matter how difficult our circumstances are at the time, everything comes to an end. I’m not reading your post as negative but quite positive and that is a reflection of your character and determination.

    Things will get better.

  2. Unfortunately, bad times come with the territory. The good thing about bad times is that you know it’s temporary, it won’t last very long. But there’s light at the end of the tunnel and things will get better, you’ll have a better week.

You always bounce back faster than most.

    1. Thanks Tim. You’re absolutely right, bad times do come with the territory.

Although you’re probably right I have learned to bounce back faster than most, it sometimes will depend on how much I have to deal with.

  3. Bad times seems to be the story of my life, but it usually isn’t the major things; it’s the things that should be simple that end up being so extremely complicated!

Take for example the simple act of changing a tire that turns into such a major project that my girlfriend finally had to call a tow truck to come do it because the rim wouldn’t come loose. She got kind of upset that I wasted so much time trying to do this, but I was bound and determined to get it done.

It just frustrates me to no end that I can’t do it when the tow truck driver does it in 2 minutes. Maybe someday this won’t aggravate me so much but I would actually think it odd if things worked so simply for me!

    1. Thanks Randy. Yes unfortunately as your experience has shown, we cannot guarantee that everything is going to go the way we think it will, even if the simple things we usually turn our hand to turn out to be the not so simple things that become enormously difficult.

Glad to hear you got your tire sorted.

  4. Bad days, weeks or even a year is part of life unfortunately. We just have to keep thinking positively and know that it won’t last forever.

Hope this week is better for you!
