Future plans

Three years ago I received a request for a guest post from an agency whose client asked to do a guest blog on my website, and it got me thinking about my blogs, about ‘my story’ and whether if I put pen to paper I could create a memoir.

The idea was that I encompass my blogs and adapt those to create a manuscript based around ‘my story’ and turn it into a memoir/self-help, which I have now achieved.

Three years on and I now have a full working manuscript that I am hoping to get published. I will update you with more publishing news shortly. I will still continue to run and add new daily blog content for my Diary.

  1. Congrats!!!! I remember when you started on it. I will definitely obtain a copy when it’s available, but I want you to sign it!!

I’m sure it will be a great inspiration to others as you have been to me. Glad you’re not stopping your blog. Stick with it. You deserve the best.😇❤

    1. Thanks Lisa. Aww thank you for your kindness and thank you for your support. You and I go back a long way, particularly in the early days of my diary. Thanks for sticking with me and my blog.

Yes, I will be continuing my blog. My blog has introduced me to a world I didn’t know existed. I hope I can keep that up and continue to be an inspiration.

Your comment Lisa means the world.

      1. You’re very welcome. I have a little bit more time in early AM due to my weird sleep habits now. I’m usually exhausted by 7:00pm and go to bed between 8:00 and 9:00pm, but for some reason I am wide awake by 1:00, 2:00 and usually 3:00am.

My normal wake up is 4:00am on my alarm. When in school I have to get Brandon up at 5:30am. Now on a break he’s up by 6:30-7:00am.

So the only time I have during the day is early AM. It’s crazy I know, but I’m very energetic in the mornings. Anyway, I’m glad I can get to your blog again some. Thank you for being here all these years!

        1. You’re welcome. Oh wow Lisa! I hope you get some quality sleep around those times. I remember through our chats you were an early riser, but sleep is good and we all probably need more than we take, me included.

I am so pleased you’re keeping up with my blogs and thanks for your responses. It helps when we can respond and give others food for thought on what we deal with and compare notes.

Nine years into my blog and I wouldn’t be without it now. I often go back to update my earlier blogs and re-read what I’ve written.

My blogs keep me focused and show me a better way to think and live. They also keep me current. I’m over the moon they help you too.

  2. Awesome and congratulations! I have been contemplating this myself, but also feeling a lot of negative emotions around it, which has made doing it very difficult.

I’m sure that it stems from constant negative reinforcement when I was a kid, that you’re not supposed to talk about anything to anyone. God forbid anyone knows the truth about the hell we went through having to pretend everything was great.

My biggest issue has been just trying to get my experiences out of my head and on to paper in a manner that will make sense to everyone else.

I’m guessing that’s what an editor is for, so I need to just start writing things out and deal with the details later.

    1. That’s kind. Thanks Randy. It’ll be good for you to get some of your thoughts out of your mind and on to paper. Good luck.

Yes, it’s not always easy talking about things, but I think it’s made easier, when someone at least wants to talk. That becomes half the battle.

  3. Well done and taking that decision and for putting your manuscript together. From what you have done with your website, I have no doubt it’ll be a best seller.

    We couldn’t be more proud.

    1. Thank you! Yes, it’ll have to be baby steps. I hope so. I certainly have confidence in my writing and in what I have produced.

The way I have written and put the manuscript will continue to help people bring more understanding into their lives through a memoir/self-help book.

I am also intending to continue to write content on my blog, working on new content with a new message.

    1. Aww thanks Tim. Your words mean so much to me, not only because they have come from you, but because your words set to validate my existence and my life around what I have had to deal with.

I didn’t set out to make this my intention. All I wanted to know is what was wrong with me, but I do think the universe knows what we struggle with deep down and will try to help us where it can.

It also knows us, knows what we’re capable and whether we are deserving of that help.
