Any negative issues I deal with can sometimes reinforce my insecurities about my disability. It’s not that I’m looking for those insecurities, but negativity energy can trigger some of the old thoughts and having no emotional support.
It is common for us all to subconsciously hold on to insecurities from childhood. We may see some of the issues we deal with positively, but it is hard to fully let go when no one accepts responsibility. Although some of our childhood issues may not impact our ability to make positive choices, every now and again they can compound other negative issues.
What’s clear is we need to create and be responsible for our own happiness, but where our experiences may counter that, we must accept we are no longer that child, and find a way through so that we see our issues in a positive light.
