Valuing others’ opinions

I believe it’s important for us to learn to value other people’s opinions, even when their opinions differ from our own. Giving value to others, helps us emotionally grow.

It’s rare for people to have the same perceptions and agree on most topics. In truth, we’re all different, we’re never going to think or feel the same way about things.

Disagreeing isn’t where the problem lies though. The problems are when we fail to give value to another person’s opinion and then spend the rest of our time disagreeing.

  1. I agree with you on this. We must take into consideration others’ feelings and thoughts to have a reasonable relationship with them.

We can’t be right all the time.

    1. You’re absolutely right in what you say. It also makes for happier, healthier and stress- free relationships. Thanks Lisa.

  2. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I think the problems arise when one person values their opinion more than others, then egos get in the way.

    1. Yes unfortunately that tends to be the case. All opinions are important, no one’s opinion is more important than other. They are all the same and warrant the same priority and attention.

You’re right, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Thank you.
