Why things happen

I believe things happen for a reason that there is something of value that comes out of every situation as long as we look for the understanding and the lessons. We always have valuable lessons to learn.

Sometimes opportunities come out of difficult situations. When I can equate and understand why things happen, I find it easier to change my perceptions and attitude. It’s at that point that I am ready to move on with my life.

Knowing the reason why something happens also saves us from feeling we’re to blame. Even if something happens and we’re in the wrong place at the wrong time that’s still meant for us. There will always be a reason, even if the reason wasn’t what we were expecting, or isn’t the outcome we want, or one that we understand.

If someone wrongs us, the universal law should help. That we are all accountable for our actions, no one is free of the karmic debt. I have held on to those beliefs for as long as I can remember.

As I begin to question the bigger picture on some of my own issues, I find myself having to go back to find the understanding. The CP Diary helps with that.

When something bad happens, it doesn’t stop me from believing there is a reason why.  It is part of my belief system, regardless of whether the scenario is good or bad.

  1. I agree with you. I believe that you get what you give and there is always a reason for things happening the way they do, whether good or bad.

  2. I’ve had a lot of bad things happen in my life and I have definitely learned a lot of lessons from them.

I’m the type that usually has to learn the hard way, which has been one of my biggest problems. I’ve been having to deal with questioning my faith as of late, since I wonder what my purpose of being here alive now is really for.

My girlfriend always talks about karma, so I’m hoping that a lot of the good things I’ve done lately will bring some good for us.

    1. I believe in karma too and believe that if you put good things out there, you will get good things back. I think we learn from both good and bad experiences in our lives.

I also believe we have a purpose and sometimes we’re aware of what that purpose is and sometimes we’re not.

Whatever the bigger picture, I know one day you’ll find your purpose. Given what you’ve dealt with in the past, perhaps the key is already there!
