  1. I can see that if we take the opportunity to reassess and re-evaluate.

    Unfortunately rejection can have spiralling negative effects on morale and self-esteem and understandingly, we often find it difficult to see the positives in it.

    1. That’s how things usually go, you’re right; but I actually agree with this quote. It all depends on whether your cup is half full or half empty.

      I always look for the positives. Just because we fail at one thing doesn’t mean we will fail at other things. Always see rejection as an opportunity to reassess.

  2. It used to be that when something wasn’t decided in my favor it cut me in half and made me feel awkwardly exposed. I found that I wasn’t an exception after all.

    So I hid my pain, starting trusting myself and moved on.

    1. Thanks Tim. Yes, it’s hard; but it’s often not personal to us, we just see it that way. We take it personally.

      Perhaps that’s what we need to take out of the equation that it’s not personal to us. In those circumstances, the decision maker thought the other person was a better fit.
