  1. Of course, karma is standing by to deliver justice if we take advantage of someone’s weakness. I have a sense when that kind of justice is being served.

We’d better get it right before everything goes dark.

    1. Thanks Tim. You’re absolutely right. I think your last paragraph sums up your response beautifully.

I dread to think what will happen if we continue to get this wrong. The world I grew up in, isn’t the world I see now.

We need to do more to help one another. It’s back to basics on this one.

    1. Thanks. Yes, Tim is right… karma is watching and waiting in the wings.

If we did just one thing a day to help someone instead of taking advantage, just think how much better we and the world would be.

  2. I was raised in an environment where taking advantage was not only condoned, but highly encouraged, so it has been a difficult thing to avoid, when the chance was right there.

I was reminded of this recently when I had a chance and decided to take it, when it was definitely the wrong thing to do. I didn’t feel very good about myself afterwards, so I’ve had to sit with guilt and then try to make amends for it.

I was buried under a mountain of guilt, shame and remorse that wasn’t my own, so it’s no wonder I don’t always recognize when those old behaviors surface right away.

I’m just trying to do the right things now so that I can finally live my own life, without feeling guilty for just enjoying it.

    1. Thanks Randy. Yes, what you describe is exactly what happens when we do something we’re not supposed to do and then grapple with guilt later on. We’ve all done it.

I think it’s important we always do what’s right. Not only does it make for a more harmonious relationship, but it’s the right thing to do.
