A Carl Sandburg quote

Something inspirational:

“Nearly all the best things that came to me in life have been unexpected, unplanned by me.”

  1. I’ve heard the saying that happiness is like a butterfly, the more you chase it, the more it will elude you. Better then to turn your attention to other things, and let the butterfly come to you.

I think there is a balance to achieve which also includes some life planning too; a compass if you like, to chart a course as best you can, while the unexpected comes long with a different plan!

    1. Thanks. You’re right, it is always good to get on with other things as best we can. Although the spirit cannot be proactive, we must do that, it is continually aware of our internal dialogue.

I never stopped wishing. I lived with hope that I would at least be able to put a name to my disability and I carried that for years. I kept it close, like a faithful friend that thought never went away.

I believe that when our internal and external intentions and dialogue are honourable, spirit will always want to help.
