A Da Vinci quote

Something inspirational:

“There are three classes of people: Those who see. Those who see when they are shown. Those who do not see.”

    1. That’s fine thank you Lisa, no problem.

Da Vinci refers to three sets of people in his quote. People who already know how to see, people who see when someone shows them how to see; those who will never see who go through life understanding nothing; whether they are shown or not.

  1. I think Leonardo has got this spot on, although I would add that anyone could be in any of those classes at any point in time, as our judgement isn’t always fixed.

    1. Yes you’re right our judgement isn’t always fixed, but based on our personalities and our patterns it’s easy to see why Leonardo Da Vinci is clear in his choices of the different types of people.

I believe he’s right, but also believe we can learn to change things, but just wonder how many of us really do.

  2. I have spent the majority of my life being able to see what was happening but not always wanting to see what was really going on!

It’s pretty impossible to really enjoy living when you have blinders on all the time. I think that’s the way a lot of people are living right now. The problem is that if you can’t see the bad stuff, it also means you don’t see any of the good either. I’m just tired of feeling I’m missing out and trying very hard to accept what I have missed out on.

Hopefully I can make the best out of what time I do have left to see what there is out there to see which includes a lot of amazing things!

    1. Thanks Randy. I understand where you’re coming from. Bad experiences would give us a good reason why we wouldn’t want to see!

But as you rightly say there are a lot of amazing things out there, it would be a shame not to give ourselves the opportunity where we can, even if that means we have to work through change.

  3. This is definitely a quote from a wise man; someone who has been around the block a few times.

I never really thought about it that way, but he sure hit the nail on the head.
