A Heather James quote

Something inspirational:

“Today and onwards, I stand proud, for the bridges I’ve climbed, for the battles I’ve won, and for the examples I’ve set, but most importantly, for the person I have become. I like who I am now, finally, at peace with me.”

  1. This quote is very apt for you. To be proud of the person you have become is a wonderful achievement and that must bring a comforting level of peace and harmony with your beliefs, words and actions, and sense of self-worth.

    1. I am particularly proud of my achievements and feel I have achieved greatly wonderful achievement. It does bring a comforting level of peace and harmony with my beliefs, words and actions, and sense of self-worth.

It’s also one of relief that I don’t have to wake up with doubt and stress not knowing why or how I present, so that I may understand my struggles over the years.

As ‘my story’ shows, whoever is responsible for how our lives turn out, we do eventually get to choose how our ‘story ends.’

  2. This quote is beautiful and timely, since so much negativity clings to us.

And Brad’s comment is spot on, there’s nothing that you lack, Ilana.

    1. Absolutely. This quote shows us exactly how things should be done, how we can do better and we must, particularly because of the pandemic.

I appreciate your comment Tim. Yes, being able to utilise my gift as I do across the board, I feel as though I am more mentally and emotionally able bodied. It’s opened a whole new life for me around my writing.

When I look at my disability in the whole, around my writing I am not disabled, it’s weird.
