A Lauren Graham quote

Something inspirational:

“I must work harder to achieve my goal of not seeking approval from those whose approval I’m not even sure is important to me.”

  1. I can resonate with this. I know how easy it is to fall into the trap of seeking approval.

It changes you and how you behave and before you know it you’re not who you really are and when you look back you’ve lost time you can never get back.

The only approval we should seek out is our own.

    1. Thanks. It’s funny but even with all of my issues growing up around my emotional and physical difficulties I never once sought approval, although I was looking for acceptance.

The problem with approval as you will have gathered, is that you get sucked into looking for approval, but it’s not something that happens once and you’ve got approval, it’s on-going and continual.

And a rocky round to continue to go down.

  2. This was my life story, seeking sporadic approval, as if some threat looms if I don’t; talk about ridiculous!

Now, I bring my confidence to the public and I try to manifest my humanity in everything I do.

    1. Thanks Tim. I know exactly how that goes Tim because I’ve lived amongst it for many years. I know what it smells and feels like.

You absolutely do and are succeeding.
