A legacy that inspires

Something inspirational:

“If your actions create a legacy that inspires others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then, you are an excellent leader.”

  1. What an amazing and intelligent woman. Yes that’s the kind of legacy I would love to leave behind, seeing as the world needs inspiration right now.

We don’t get extra lives or replays like in a video game and we don’t have any time machines, so we must do the best we can while we’re here.

At the end of it, I don’t want to end up feeling like my whole life was been a waste.

    1. Thanks Randy. Yes it does and you’re right. The only re-run we get is when we pass through the pearly gates and our story is played back to us.

Therefore it’s important we get things right this side of life and leave a legacy we want others to remember us by.

Just being a kind, caring and compassionate person is legacy enough. It’s important how people remember us.

  2. I hope that my legacy would be to be kind to everyone, nothing that a little kindness can’t solve.

I don’t like to argue with people. I would rather just walk away even if the issue doesn’t get resolved. Life doesn’t revolve around the solving of problems, it revolves on how happy we are in the face of strife.

To be remembered as someone who makes people welcome and helping those along the way if I can, would be a wonderful way to be remembered.

My mom lives that way, humble, kind and caring. If I can live up to be remembered like mom then I would be happy, because she is my role model and best friend.

    1. Thanks Maria. It’s lovely that your mum is your role model and best friend. Thank you for sharing. Having a kind legacy is something we should all be working on.

‘To be remembered as someone who makes people welcome and helping those along the way if I can, would be a wonderful way to be remembered.’ Exactly.

Life isn’t about fancy cars, or how much someone has in their bank. It doesn’t make us kind. As you say life is about being kind and giving back.

From my experiences, although life doesn’t revolve around the solving of problems, without being able to solve our problems we may never be able to be happy in the face of strife.

Our worries tend to take away our happiness. It’s very hard to be happy when you’re worrying about something you struggle to find a resolve on.

  3. Beautiful quote! Dolly Parton obviously has a mature understanding of life, a profound level of awareness.

But as you know, many of our leaders/politicians are too grotesquely wicked to leave us inspired.

  4. Thanks Tim. Yes, she absolutely does. She’s a beautiful woman with a beautiful soul.

There is not a lot you can say about our leaders/politicians. Seriously, they need to take a leaf out of Dolly’s book.
