  1. I’ve learned a lot of lessons in life not from light but by raising myself in the dark. So when I eventually saw the light, I was afraid to go in it.

If you meant to impress me with this quote you definitely succeeded, very profound.

    1. Awww thanks Tim. Yes I think you’re right. I’ve learned more from the dark too. A man afraid of the light has learned very little as a child if he is still afraid as the adult.

Although we learn more from our dark days, it’s always best to try to keep an open mind. That way by the time we see or get to the light we’re completely prepared to walk through the other end.

  2. I have been both the child afraid of the dark, checking under the bed every night and the adult afraid of the light that was beyond the safety of my own familiarity.

I grew out of the frightened child and experience proved to me that the world holds no fear for me, but that involved positive thought to carry me through into the confident adult I am today.

    1. It sounds as though you worked through your own issues in both circumstances to become the confident adult. It takes a lot of courage and determination, but it also needs for us to understand how fear works.

It’s commendable you managed and have come through both.
