A meaningful life

Something inspirational:

“The search for meaning in our lives takes us on paths large and small. When we go beyond ourselves-whether in forgiveness, unselfishness, thoughtfulness, generosity and understanding toward others-we enter into the spiritual realm of meaning. By giving beyond ourselves, we make our own lives richer. This is a truth long understood at the heart of all meaningful spiritual traditions. It’s a mystery that can only be experienced. And when we do experience it, we are in the heart of meaning. We are no longer a prisoner of our thoughts.”

    1. Yes it is a great quote, one which I believe we can all aspire to. By using the suggestions outlined in this quote, we will learn to perceive life in ways that will bring about the most peace.

  1. Very True. I once had a dream job of helping people with all kinds of disabilities. I found great purpose in this and it gave me great satisfaction.

    1. I am sure Randy. Working with others in the way you describe often changes how we perceive them and how we perceive our own lives.

  2. I appreciate this quotation to the fullest. In the turmoil of personal survival, we sometimes forget to give others the courtesy and generosity we want for ourselves. The very act of random kindness is gratifying.

A meaningful life and a meaning to life.
