  1. I know it states the obvious but that is a good summary of sleep and its relationship to our emotional state.

    I always fall asleep like a baby, but if I do have any worries these wake me up after a couple of hours and I then have a really bad night’s sleep. A good night’s sleep is so important, as I believe we can’t really tackle the day ahead properly without it.

    I have tried some of your suggestions elsewhere on this site and they usually help.

  2. This is a topic that has been a problem for me for years, so I agree and can relate.

    My cure was to find out that I have sleep apnea and got the testing done and now sleep with the help of a CPAP breathing machine and now my sleep is more deep and restful than ever before.

    Just throwing that out and hope it may help someone else.

  3. I know for me personally that I may stay in bed for long periods, but that doesn’t always mean that I sleep very well!

    Most of the time I end up waking every few hours, either from strange dreams or mother nature kicking in. It does make me very cranky at times which I know isn’t a good thing, but I try to change my moods during those times.

    It’s just very hard because I don’t like the thought of taking sleeping pills, since I don’t like the after effects.

    I just try to do the best I can with the sleep I do get at this point.

    1. I think your sleep routine Randy will be similar to other people’s sleep routines.

      I agree with you about sleeping tablets, they can make you very sleepy if you take the tablet too late before bed time and/or you get up too early before you’ve finished sleeping.

      They also tend to be habit forming and is therefore another reason why it’s better not to get into the habit of relying on them to sleep.
