  1. I’m actually in a very dark place right now and I’m going to have to ask for help to be able to get to the light, seeing as I can’t seem to see it.

This is why I have stayed so long in my relationships, seeing as I didn’t feel like there was any way out of my situation and I still don’t, but there has to be and I’m guessing that I need someone else’s eyes to see what it is.

I was forced to grow up in a very dark world where we didn’t really have any options and my parents didn’t show us either. There is a lot that I know that I have to do and really should do, for my own sanity’s sake, but I can’t say that I am really looking forward to it.

The reality is that it’s pretty much a divorce, considering how long we have been together and the most I want, is just to be able to walk away with more than just the shirt on my back this time around with at least a shred of dignity.

    1. Thanks Randy. You’re absolutely in the driving seat. I’m not really sure you need to see a way through someone else’s eyes.

There’s only one way through a split or divorce. You know what you must do, because you’ve eloquently said it so many times.

I hope you muster up the courage to change your circumstances. You deserve to be happy Randy, but you must make your happiness happen.

  2. Our lives are inevitably filled with light and darkness, times of happiness and times of sadness.

We get through the tough times by focusing on the light ahead.

    1. Absolutely right, thank you. I think it important to focus on the light ahead. It’s the difference between negative and positive.

Negativity is your dark and positivity is your light. The more positive we are, the more we will see our way through.

  3. Darkness is always trying to wait for that right moment to turn off the lights, no matter how great your day was. It will make you eat sadness until you’re seriously ill.

Now the light, it only comes when we find something to be grateful for; but we better make sure it’s not just another dream.

    1. Thanks Tim. Sadly, it’s how the human brain works. Throughout my own experiences, I have only ever chosen to look for the silver lining. I was determined not to walk or stay in the dark.

I believe the light is always on and it’s there, but sometimes it’s not always in reach to us. We must find a way to access the light and I believe we can.

Always choose to look for the silver lining in any dark situation. Even if the situation presents that way, there is always another side for us to look at.
