A quote by Mark Twain

Something inspirational:

“Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.”

I like to be around people who uplift me merely by their existence. Of course, I’ll do the same if we mutually find it in our lungs to cultivate each other.

I think it’s very problematic when we don’t find it easy to make people feel great.

Thanks Tim. Although that’s not always possible, I also find it incredibly difficult being around people who don’t uplift us; primarily because they often have no hesitation bringing others down when they bring themselves and that’s how they live.

I agree and think it tragic that people can’t seem to find it in their hearts to want to make others feel good. The world’s in such a bad place, but I still live in hope that individually we can all begin to make a difference.

It’s a shame that some people seems to purposely belittle others and rain on their parade. Those are the sort of people to be avoided, but it’s not always easy to have relationships with only like minded people.

It seems that those who belittle others always seem to find a way to come back, one way or another.

It’s not easy navigating a relationship around people who aren’t like minded, primarily because of how people are. I don’t buy into that philosophy personally. But for some it would be like putting a round peg in a square hole.

I believe that’s part of the problem. We need to come together and learn to be more accepting of each other. Opinions are fine, but not when opinions become bigger than people.
