  1. We don’t stay the same and have to rearrange ourselves sometimes, like after a major illness. We may not have the same feelings physically or mentally and have to adjust ourselves; but others learn to adjust with us.

    1. Thanks Lisa. You’re absolutely right, illness changes us and we have to re-arrange ourselves of course.

I also agree with your analogy. Mentally and physically we will change, as our feelings change; it would be difficult not to. I would love to think others will adapt and adjust to what we have to deal with, but it’s difficult for them too.

Where you may struggle to accept that you have changed, I believe our loved ones will also find it difficult. In effect, they’ve lost that person too. It would be like going through a bereavement and that’s not so simple or easy to do.

But I believe people can come through difficult circumstances together, all the stronger and better for it.

  2. I like this quote. If friends don’t agree with what you feel you must do, then they really aren’t your friends.

    1. Thanks, yes I agree. Friends shouldn’t be there to criticise or judge on what we do, but instead must take a supporting role.
