  1. I spend a lot of time thinking about the blows I’ve taken in this life and how it has left me numb, yet in some ways muscular.

Because of that I have hindsight and peripheral vision. That only comes from experience, it certainly doesn’t come by chance.

    1. Thanks Tim. Yes, you’ve had to stand your ground, state your case, protect yourself and that when you’re continually having to do it, can leave you numb.

That said, it’s changed you as a person, you’re more caring towards the right people, you’re fair and tough where you have to be. There’s nothing wrong with that.

But primarily the human condition is flawed. Acceptance is important in this life, the key is making sure your experiences don’t change or harden you. You’re lovely as you are.

No matter our experiences, it is important we are still the same people underneath.

  2. Wisdom isn’t just acquired by accident. We have to want to see the bigger picture through experiences without preconceived beliefs, but open to endless possibilities while staying true to our convictions.

    1. Thanks, yes you’re right. Realistically, how many of us will achieve it and doesn’t it also depend on our beliefs?

Religious beliefs don’t incorporate the whole. They also don’t allow for us to understand our experiences in the whole, or allow for spiritual growth.

As you say, we must see the bigger picture through experiences without preconceived ideas. Religion is associated with the concerns of a life through faith, culture and society.
