    1. We learn more from defeat than we do winning. This quote is spot on.

If we learn from our mistakes, whether we win or not, we can’t really lose. Knowledge is empowerment.

  1. Yes, the way I read it comes across to me as learning from your mistakes which doesn’t seem to be something I do very well.

I kept doing the same things and kept wondering why it was that I was always the one left holding the bag. Like Einstein said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results.”

I have also been one to give up far too easily, or in some cases not even bothering to try. Turns out that I’m actually far more afraid of success that I am about losing. When it happens to you time after time, you do get very discouraged and become resigned to things always being the same way.

My parents never showed me a different way, so it’s no wonder I have kept doing the same thing because I didn’t know the difference.

    1. Thanks Randy. Yes, I think we learn how not to do things from our parents, which isn’t altogether bad.

When we can learn, we cannot lose. It is our ability to learn that changes our failings to success. I honestly believe that.

No matter what your mum did Randy, you have the ability to change things now, by making your own choices.

  2. Even losing in battle you can learn something. You learn how to counterattack and their weaknesses.

This is how we learn in life albeit not the most positive experience going in. This makes life a challenge and no way near boring.

    1. Thanks Maria. Yes, absolutely challenging and definitely ‘no way near boring.’

The hard part and it can be a challenge for some is being able to accept the challenge and finish it through to the end. It’s easy to give up mid stream and not learn anything.

  3. I love this quote! I wish more people would take it to heart. Everyone has some sort of battle on a daily basis they have to try and conquer.

    1. Thanks Bonnie, yes you’re absolutely right. If we all thought about how we interacted with others, how different our world would be.
