  1. The crazy world we have created has proven this quote to be very true. Sadly I doubt that such quotes will ever be outdated.

    1. Thanks, I agree with you. Yes, it’s sad that years on, we’ll be singing to the same tune. Nothing changes because we don’t change.

But we must be ourselves in a world that is fast changing. What you see is what you get, loved or not and that’s my motto, always has been.

What’s even more sad is that we bow to pressure. We people please just to be accepted, when really we need to be ourselves.

  2. What I am is pretty much invisible to most people out there in the world, neither really loved or hated, as far as I can tell.

In the past, I was always such a people pleaser thanks to my mother’s brainwashing, but I have come to the point where I’m not prepared to continue to do it, since I have wasted so much time doing it.

The worst part has been that I have always ended up doing the most for the people who appreciate it the least. I couldn’t seem to help myself even when I knew better, which is one of the many mysteries of my life, which I haven’t been able to figure out.

The most I gathered was that ‘you live what you know’ which makes perfect sense to me. I’m sure that I won’t be very popular once I stop doing it, but it beats having to pretend that I actually enjoy people pleasing.

    1. Thanks Randy. Yes, from one people pleaser to another. When I left home I started cutting down on pleasing and started pleasing myself more.

It didn’t go unnoticed, but like you say, it’s got to be done. You may not be very popular Randy… but you’ll certainly get your life back.
