  1. Yes, all the other animals don’t spend a lot of their time ‘contemplating their bellybutton’ as one of my counselors used to put it! All they do is what’s necessary for survival without asking questions of themselves. I

    t would be great sometimes to just enjoy living without having so much running through my mind that makes it so difficult. I’m guessing that’s why we enjoy watching the animals so much, because all they do is their own thing without a whole lot of time wasted on thinking about everything else.

      Contemplation can bring about a lot of uncertainty, particularly when we rethink thoughts from past experiences. I often look at the wildlife in my garden and think how lucky they are.

  2. This is great quote. We create huge, often irreversible problems, almost to the point of self-destruction and then we have to sort those problems out.

    I can’t remember when I last heard that any other animal species has brought about its own demise or even been close to it. We really are a dumb race when you think about it.

    1. Thank you. Yes I too believe we have a lot to learn from the animal kingdom, we should stand back so that we can observe so that we can learn to live our lives in a more simplistic way. I agree.
