Embracing humanity

Something inspirational:

“One of the most spiritual things you can do is embrace your humanity. Connect with those around you today. Say, ‘I love you,’ ‘I’m sorry,’ ‘I appreciate you,’ ‘I’m proud of you’… whatever you’re feeling. Send random texts, write a cute note, embrace your truth and share it… cause a smile today for someone else… and give plenty of hugs.”

  1. It would be nice if we could rip out our hearts and replace them with new one’s, perhaps we’d lean closer to humanity after that.

Or would we crumble under the weight of money, greed and power yet again? It’s time for us to find answers.

    Beautiful quote.

    1. Thanks Tim. We’re not learning our lessons and as you question, until those lessons are learned we will always crumble ‘under the weight of money, greed and power.’

It doesn’t matter how many times we were to rip our hearts out, unless we learn our lessons and understand humanity in the wider context we will always return to the same place.

You only have to look at our governments to understand that.

  2. Now this is a cause I can get behind; getting in touch with your inner-most person. Showing love for family and friends, doesn’t cost a lot, but sometimes it is hard to do. In my family, we tell each other ‘I love you’ all the time; it’s almost second nature to us.

Luckily telling someone that you love them is a kind gesture, hopefully the feelings are the same for both parties. I freely tell my grandsons that I love them, even though they’re really not my blood grandsons.

I love them unconditionally and only want what’s best for them. I guess that’s what the definition of a grandparent is anyway isn’t it? I am blessed to be a grandmom and mother, I wouldn’t trade those two titles for anything in the world.

    1. Thanks Maria. I loved reading your response. Yes, if more of us thought like you, the world would be a sweeter place.

As you say and I agree, the key to ‘loving’ is making sure it’s unconditional. When you can give love freely, you have great qualities elsewhere too.

Again, we just have to look at what’s happening in the world to see that we all have a long way to go. There are too many conditions attached to life.

As is quoted, we must embrace our truth and share it, then live by it.
