    1. Exactly! Thanks Tim. Yes, life is precious but we take it for granted, or look for bigger and better.

Neither will work long term, nor is it the ‘spiritual’ way.

  1. Wow, I have been doing that for most of my life so I never really knew anything different. It took me a long time to figure out that ‘you live what you know.’ It’s difficult to learn how to do things differently, but I know that it can be done.

I have watched so many other people waste their lives, never truly living and I really don’t want to end up being one of them. I watched both of my parents end up in nursing homes suffering to the end.

I have missed out so much of my life.

    1. Thanks Randy. Yes, you’re right not to want to go down the same path as your parents. If we’re not lucky enough to have positive support, parents will invariably show us ‘how not to do things.’

I think that’s often more helpful. It teaches us how to change things. An important lesson I feel.

  2. This reminds of a cartoon I saw last week, which said we don’t live once, we die once but we live every day. I guess it’s up to us to make sure.

    1. Thanks. Yes, it is up to us to make sure. There is living and there is existing.

How many of us live and how many of us just ‘exist’ thinking we’re living? Food for thought on this one.
