  1. Yes, it would be great if there was a lot more meaning to my life than what little there is right now. I mean I know I have my daughter and my family, but I’m not exactly interacting a lot with either one of them on a regular basis.

She happens to live 2500 miles away and my siblings are off living their own lives, so it’s kind of difficult to do anything with them anyway.

There are many things that I would rather be doing, but I’m thinking that it will take making a lot of changes in my life that I really don’t want to make, but I kind of have to if I want to finally live my own life for a change.

Mostly at this point I want to be able to help people and become a productive member of society rather than to continue how I’m only just existing, right now.

    1. Thanks Randy. Yes, we must make those changes for ourselves if we are to live the life we want to live.

Life gives us an opportunity to create something for ourselves, As Anthony Robbins says, ‘but who we become, what we contribute… that gives meaning to our lives.’ That is so true.

Even if others don’t understand or see our qualities, it’s up to us to make these things happen. I never equated what my mum used to say about being a long time dead, but she was right.

We must seize the opportunities and contribute where we can, because once we’re gone… we’re a long time dead.

  2. Great quote. When we leave this realm we will be remembered not by the material things we leave behind, but the memory of our deeds and our words and that is exactly how it should be.

    1. Thank you. Yes, the material things we leave behind are all earthly trappings that mean nothing in the bigger scheme of things. It is the ‘memory of our deeds and our words’ that matter.

Everything we have accrued that ties us into our earthly trappings are the least important as far as ‘spirit’ are concerned and don’t count.
