Our ups and downs

A passing thought:

It’s the nature of life that plans don’t always work out.  It’s also life that we spend time moaning and complaining about why. So why not change things. Stop wasting time and energy fretting about what’s gone wrong and use your energy to re-adapt, so that your plans will eventually work for you. It’s all in our attitude and how we choose to see things.

  1. I know it’s human nature; but moaning really doesn’t do us any good and can be damaging to ourselves and to our relationships with others.

As you say, it’s best to look forward.

    1. Thanks Randy. I know the saying goes that we can’t teach an old dog new tricks… but I think we can. We just have to want to at least have a go. Thanks for posting today.

  2. I’ve been doing a lot of this lately and I feel better when I’m not obsessing about stuff like the adoption.

Things will happen when they are supposed to and not before.

    1. Yes of course Lisa, it would be better if you were able to stop obsessing about the adoption. I am sure when you know more; you will.

You are completely right about things happening when they’re supposed to. It’s my belief too.

  3. Yes,it’s always easier to focus on the negative than on the positive.

Now if I can just start paying more attention to what I can do versus what I can’t, it would be a monumental step in the right direction!

    1. You’re right Randy, it’s human nature to go back to what we know and are comfortable with, but I would think it has to be more satisfying to know that with a little bit more effort we can achieve our goal of being positive, rather than being negative all the time.

That in itself has so many connotations for us to deal with!
