Overcoming your pride

Something inspirational:

“It’s okay to disagree with the thoughts or opinions expressed by other people. That doesn’t give you the right to deny any sense they might make. Nor does it give you a right to accuse someone of poorly expressing their beliefs just because you don’t like what they are saying. Learn to recognize good writing when you read it, even if it means overcoming your pride and opening your mind beyond what is comfortable.”

  1. This does seem like a timely subject, since I’m having to learn to overcome my pride and be able to ask for help when I need it.

I’ve spent so many years thinking that I didn’t deserve any help, nor did I really want it due to my pride.

I’m hoping and praying that I can truly be able to mature enough to be able to ask for help when I need it which would make my life so much easier.

    1. As hard as it is, once we accept that it’s okay to ask for help, we’ll learn to cope better with what we deal with once we get help. We’ll then be up to helping someone else, should someone else need our help.

I know it’s not easy asking for help, but once we’ve done it and begin to feel better, we may have opportunities to begin to help others, just like we needed help. It’s such an inspirational thing to do.
