Quote by Rudyard Kipling

Something inspirational:

“The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. To be your own man is hard business. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.”

  1. This quote describes the way I’ve actually managed my life.

I’ve always trusted my own instincts and respected my propensity for independence. I may have been a little lonely at times, but I was never frightened.

To be your own man is hard business, but not to be your own man is even harder.

    1. Thanks Tim. I agree. It’s harder not to be your own man that it is to be your own man. At least that way you get to call the shots on what you do with your life.
