Read a book

Reading is a great way of taking a break. It takes us away to a different place, where we don’t have to act or think. It gives us a time to gather our thoughts, so that we can work out what we need to do next. Reading is peaceful, relaxing. It feeds the mind and heals the soul.

Curl up with a book and while your worries away, even if it’s for a short time. A short time is better than no time at all.

  1. Great idea. I do find reading relaxing and I read mystery books.

    Usually they are medical mysteries or other types of mysteries like Stuart Woods, James Patterson and Patricia Cornwell, I get lost in them.

    When they are really good I can’t wait to get the time to read my book again.

  2. I love reading, well reading for pleasure anyway!

    I have a few books lined up that I plan to read over the summer once I get more time and don’t have to worry about my studies as much.

  3. Reading is one of my favourite hobbies, that and posting!

    My favourite book was written about 30 years ago called Jonathan Livingston Seagull and I often re-read it. It’s a short story, but is a fabulous allegory too, so I take different things out of it every time I read it.

    1. It’s lovely when we can read literature that actually educates us on how to live our life better. I believe we never stop learning and reading is a good place to start.
