Did you know the human body doesn’t produce the well-known feel good chemical Serotonin without another chemical called tryptophan?
It makes sense therefore, for us to try and increase our intake of this tryptophan in an attempt to enhance our mood. Luckily for us tryptophan is found naturally in bananas and sunflower seeds.
For a tasty tryptophan snack: chop up a red and green apple with a sliced banana and half a cup of sunflower seeds, mix with a tablespoon of fromage frais or yoghurt, a tablespoon of honey and a tablespoon of fruit juice.
Mix together and serve on a lettuce leaf.
