Thoughts on growing up

Something inspirational:

Do you remember how you responded when you were asked the question, ‘what do you want to be when you grow up?’

If you remember the answer you gave, how does that compare with what you’re doing now? When you think about the question, does it trigger new thoughts about what you’ve achieved? Do you feel that you’re doing what you set your sights on all those years ago?

Does it trigger thoughts about your ideal life and if does what your idea life be now and is it time for a change?

  1. Good post.

No one ever asked me. Had they have asked, my answer would have been very different to what I’ve ended up doing and it’s way too late to do what I really wanted to do. 🙁

    1. I am sure many people will resonate with what happened to you. It was very much a case of our parents telling us what they wanted us to do and having to go along with their suggestion (not in your case though); or making a decision based on our qualifications.

Things are way different now, although I still think it’s never too late to follow one’s dream.

  2. I remember always wanting to be a nurse and that’s what I’ve done. I don’t remember my parents encouraging me either way. I don’t think they thought I would be able to do much of anything.

Now I have a new goal for my life and am going to try to reach that one too.
