  1. I don’t do very well at forgiving people, but I’m much better at understanding people!

I’m hoping that I can move beyond the many resentments I still have so I can get on with my life. I’ve wasted so many years on carrying them that I can’t afford to continue doing the same.

It would be awesome if I could at least be comfortable in my own skin so that I am finally able to enjoy my life for once!

    1. To forgive someone is the hardest thing in the world. Most of us struggle with it in one form or another.

If we’re able to understand people and what they go through, we’re more likely to forgive through our understanding.

I truly believe to understand is the key to accepting someone’s forgiveness and for this reason I think this is a great quote.

  2. I agree.

We should understand. Some people may have extenuating circumstances by just saying something and not really realizing what they are saying until it is said and they have had time to think about it.

    1. It happens Lisa, you’re right.

There is always a bigger picture to everyone’s circumstances. That is my belief.

With an understanding first, we’re less likely to pass or stand in judgment and therefore more likely to be able to forgive. We have to understand first.

    1. There is room for both motto’s of course, but without our understanding we’re less likely to forgive. I think side by side works as well.
