Why I started The CP Diary

As a child I didn’t have any pre-meditated ideas about writing, but finding out about my disability at the age of 46, prompted me to start The CP Diary.

I wanted something that I could use as a tool, to help me work through my emotions and thoughts growing up with a condition I didn’t know I had, whilst learning to cope living along side it.

I wanted for the first time in my life to change a traumatic and negative life into something positive. I wanted to do something that would help me understand my experiences, to help others understand themselves.

    1. Hi Eric and welcome to the site. Thank you, glad you love it.

No don’t worry! your email address isn’t public.

  1. I think you have a great idea and a much needed asset for people like myself, 50 years living with cerebral palsy.

I hope that other people with cerebral palsy can come and support each other. Congratulations on a fantastic website.

    I’ll be back soon.

    1. Thanks Mike. I look forward to seeing you back soon. I’ve never come across anyone with cerebral palsy before.

      Lovely to meet you!

  2. Hiya, I just wanted to pop by and say that I think what you’re doing is wonderful and I am very proud of you.

    Love you lots.

    1. Have finally read all of “My Story” and it truly moved me. Memories of my childhood are very similar to your own, ditto!

You’re very courageous and I applaud you, well done. Mike.
