Denial and the truth

Food for thought: Being in denial doesn’t hide the truth, nor does it mean that what we’re in denial about will never happen. Being in denial means we live behind a façade, where we’re in denial on the things we’re choosing to ignore, but unconsciously know those things will happen. It is inevitable that the things we’re in denial about, will happen whether we choose to ignore them or not. For us to nurture and work towards a spiritual life, we should accept our truth.

  1. Denial will always shield us from accepting the truth.

We may see it, but we fail to accept it and it’s only when we open our eyes that we are able to see what is truly in front of us all along.

    1. You’re right, but I’m not sure how many of us will or ever do. I think that’s part of the problem.

We’re not willing to accept what we know to be true, but instead choose to live in denial, hoping our issues will go away.
