I’m doing better than I was, but still not one hundred percent on top form. I have started on my constitutional homeopathic remedy, still dealing with reflux problems, but know that I am on the road to recovery.
I need to take myself in hand as far as my health is concerned. I want to live a normal life, choose to go out for a meal, but right now I cannot live my life comfortably. My life is on hold whilst I sort this out.
For those of us who have acid reflux, a test is needed to understand and know the symptoms. Where I relied on alternative supplements to help me, I’m finding now they’re not working that well, but there are so many other reasons that have to come into the equation as to why they’re really not.
To combat acid reflux we have to incorporate the whole package. The package includes watching the food that we eat, so we cut down on wheat and dairy (known allergens) or citrus fruits. Tomatoes and cucumber can also be a trigger as can chicken, lamb and turkey. We also need to take away stress.
There may also be a link between acid reflux and IBS. I say that because I tend to suffer with them both at the same time and even though the symptoms are separate, the link tends to be digestion.
Acid reflux triggers:
- Acid reflux comes from stress;
- Acid reflux comes from foods that don’t agree with us;
- Acid reflux comes from leaving it too long for us to eat between meals;
- Acid reflux comes from missing out meals;
- Acid reflux comes from snacking on too high sugared snacks;
- Acid reflux comes from eating too late or eating a heavy meal before bed.
If anyone is dealing with reflux, perhaps it would be a good idea to invest in a book that deals with offending foods that contribute to reflux.
