Always try to be better today than you were yesterday. Instead of being better, we focus on being worried or concerned that we don’t measure up to others, and fail to recognise that we too have something to give.
Due to a lack of confidence, we spend rather a large chunk of our lives trying to determining whether we stack up, where in reality there should be no ranking measure at all. Instead, we must measure up to our own personal potential.
Ranging ourselves as superior or inferior doesn’t work. Those assessments will never be factually accurate, because individually we’re not alike. We come from different environments, our strengths and weaknesses are different, we have different talents, therefore measuring ourselves as superior is not a fair assessment.
We must understand that everyone is exactly equal in importance in this world. When we take the ego away, we will see we are exactly the same as the next. We must start by recognising that being the best in something on relates to us.
That if we have to rank ourselves, do it against ourselves, our own performance and on any future potential and possibilities. That’s for us also.
