Breakfast Oatmeal Smoothie
This delicious smoothie with oats provides a good proportion of your daily fruit and vegetable intake.
Ingredients:
1 ripe banana
1 apple or 1 pear
Small handful of berries such as blueberries, strawberries, blackberries or any combination
Good handful of spinach
Half a cup of almond milk
Cup of porridge oats
Method:
Blend all the fruit and spinach with the almond milk for around 20 seconds until smooth
Add the oats and blend for another 5 seconds. This ensures the oats are mixed but not completely blended
Poor into a glass or cereal bowl and eat with a spoon
This is such a great idea. I love fruit smoothies and oats, but really dislike porridge. This way I’m eating oats, which I know are very healthy and can lower cholesterol.
The recipe is so easy. I guess you could use any fruit with the spinach and banana too.
