Cacao & Almond Energy Balls

This is a great recipe for a healthy energy ball snack, adapted from I made them at the weekend and they are easy to make and taste delicious!


100g of almonds

200g of dates

2 tablespoons of raw cacao powder

1 tablespoon of almond butter

1 tablespoon of coconut oil

Pinch of salt (optional)


Begin by placing the almonds in the food processor and pulsing until they are nicely crushed

Add the medjool dates and coconut oil and pulse until it’s fully mixed

Add the almond butter and cacao and then mix again in the food processor

Add a pinch of salt if desired

Take a tablespoon of the mixture and roll into a ball

Continue doing this until the mixture is finished

Place the rolled balls into the freezer for an hour, then remove and store in an airtight container in the fridge

    1. Thank you. Yes, I agree. It’s so important we keep our blood sugar levels up between meals so these are just the perfect snack, delicious too and easy to make.
