Granola breakfast biscuits


125ml (4.5 oz maple syrup)

2 tbsp vegetable oil

2 tbsp honey

50g (1.75oz) sunflower seeds

300g (10.5 oz) rolled oats

50g (1.75 oz) pumpkin seeds

4tbsp sesame seeds

1 tbsp vanilla extract

100g (3.5 oz) flaked almonds

50g desiccated coconut or coconut flakes

100g dried berries


Heat the oven to 150C/300F

Mix the maple syrup; vanilla and honey in a large bowl.

Then add all the remaining ingredients, except for the coconut and dried fruit and mix well

Spread the granola out on to 2 x greased baking trays spreading them evenly

Bake for 15 minutes then add the dried fruit and coconut

Bake for another 15 minutes

Cut into squares and serve cool

Can be served with either yoghurt or milk
