Super Quick and Easy Ice Cream


1 1/2 cups (400 ml) heavy whipping cream (or double cream)

1/2 cup (150 ml) whole milk

1/3 cup (75 g) sugar small cup (225 ml) orange juice

4 tbsp grated orange zest


Pour the cream and milk into a blender with the sugar

Add the orange juice and zest and blend for about 45 seconds or until it’s well mixed

Pour into a metal pan and place in the freezer for about an hour

Remove from the freezer and stir with a spoon

Repeat once an hour for two hours. The mixture will begin to take on the texture of ice cream

When it’s ready, scoop into glasses, cups, or cones to serve

    1. Thanks, I agree. I’m not normally a lover of ice cream, but I always think home made is better than bought.

      It also gives you the satisfaction of it being home made. I remember a ginger ice cream mum used to make at family dinners.
