My Book and Covid_19

I am fortunate my book was published on the 2nd January 2020, a few days before Covid_19 hit the headlines in the UK. Nothing else was said or done about Covid_19, until the UK went into lock down on the 23rd March.

Then on the 26th February 2020 my book was published in the States. The way the pandemic is being handled by the UK Government is why things are quiet with my book.

The good news is that my book is available in lots of bookshops including Waterstones in Leeds and Harrogate, (available on-line) in Salts Mill in Saltaire, and The Grove in Ilkley. It’s also on-line at The Book Depository and in newspaper book shops, including the @Guardian and the @Telegraph.

For me, the following review by my publisher @HeatherBoisseau of @RedDoorBooks sums up my book and why it is the perfect read for these times:

“The irony is that the #coronavirus has made Ilana’s message and mindset in her book, Cerebral Palsy: A Story ‘Finding the calm after the Storm’ even more relevant – Heather Boisseau @RedDoorBooks – anyone wishing to buy by book in lockdown can buy it here: UK or US

My book is a memoir, self-help and mind/body/spirit book. It’s also a motivational guide that will help guide you through these Covid_19 times. It will also help fund me to continue to run my website in these difficult times.

  1. Staying calm in these difficult times can be hard, when there is so much terrible news all around us.

Your book helps us find the calm when we are wethering our own storms. It shines a beacon for us to find our path through the darkness.

    1. Thanks. Yes, staying calm in these times is incredibly hard, given what’s going on in the world. Couple that with autism an anxiety and there is little scope for me to have peace or rest.

But I love that you think my book shines a beacon for us all to find our path through the darkness. Spread the word!

  2. Your book has been an absolute blessing during this Covid-19 pandemic. It helps us escape the horror of this virus through spirituality, but in no way puts us in denial. You simply keep us informed.

The fact is no one keeps us enlightened like you do. I’m just telling it like it is. Thank you for that.

    1. I am grateful to you for your support and taking an interest in what I have to say. Where I mentally struggle to come to terms with things through my impaired emotions, my book brings clarity.

It’s an account of my life, of my struggles, but told in a fair, balanced and non-judgmental way. I absolutely agree with your comments Tim. My book continues to bring clarity in what is now an uncertain world. through the pandemic.

You seeing that isn’t the same thing as me telling you that, therefore it is absolutely true.
